Tennis player Jiří Lehečka advanced to the final during his first participation in the Tournament of Champions for players under 21. The Czech talent beat the Swiss Dominic Stricker 4:1, 4:3, 2:4, 4:1 in the first semifinal in Milan. He will face Brandon Nakashima of the United States on Saturday for the title.
The 21-year-old Lehečka beat Stricker, who went through the basic round unbeaten, in an hour and 25 minutes. In the final, he will face Nakashima for the second time in the tournament, with whom they easily lost their first match to each other in the group stage.
In the second semifinal, the American fourth seed defeated the tournament trio of Briton Jack Draper 4:3, 1:4, 4:2, 4:3. The final is scheduled for Saturday from 21:00.
