Lego is suing ‘clamping block’ dealers in Düsseldorf

DÜSSELDORF Lego had already had the three-dimensional representation of the toy figure with and without a knob on its head protected throughout Europe in 2000. In 2015, the EU court had confirmed the trademark protection for the toy figure in a judgment. In the current proceedings, Lego is taking action against a retailer who specializes in selling “clamping blocks” and sets from other manufacturers that are compatible with the Lego system.
