LEGO Builder’s journey expands beyond Apple Arcade

The unique LEGO experience known as LEGO Builder’s Journey has been announced as ready for PC and Nintendo Switch at last. This game was first released on Apple Arcade for macOS desktop and mobile devices. Now ready for the Nintendo Switch portable console and PC (Windows), via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

It is a “beautiful non-verbal artistic puzzle adventure with contemplative music.” It is a kind of story, which follows a father and son “on a warm journey through the LEGO world.” This is a clear departure from the average LEGO video game – it’s a wild and wacky product overall and is aimed at comedy.

The original version of this game has been on Apple Arcade since its release. If you play on iOS or macOS, you will find that this latest version is similar, but completely redone. This looks significantly different from this original version, thanks to next-level graphics via the Unity HDRP display pipeline and NVIDIA RTX technology.

The PC version, in particular, takes the visual experience of a completely new door. With the PC version of LEGO Builder’s Journey, LEGO promises “major graphic updates” including global lighting, ambient lightning occlusion, shadows and reflections.

You can also access this game through Apple Arcade for mobile devices. Watch the video below to learn more about how this game came to be, and how a dedicated team of creatives continues to develop the experience now and in the future.

The latest installment of LEGO Builder’s Journey will be released for both PC and Nintendo Switch. The LEGO Builder’s Journey release date for PC and Nintendo Switch is June 22, 2021. This game will be available on the Nintendo Switch Store and on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
