Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Ignasius Jonan, former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), was appointed as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of PT Anabatic Technologies Tbk, an information technology issuer listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with the stock code ATIC.
This was revealed in Jonan’s latest upload on his Instagram account, @ignasius.jonan, regarding the results of the ATIC Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) and Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) which was held Tuesday (29/6), quoted this Thursday (1 /7).
“A new journey. June 29, 2021, I was appointed as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of PT Anabatic Tbk. A new field for me who has never led an information technology business in my career so far and I hope I can contribute with all my previous experiences and journeys. Thank you,” said John.
The AGMS also discussed the agenda for the approval of the use of the 2020 annual report in addition to the inauguration of the company’s new management.
ATIC’s financial report data noted that last year ATIC posted revenue of Rp. 6.16 trillion, up 10.39% from 2019 of Rp. 5.58 trillion.
Unfortunately, the company recorded a net loss of Rp 554.45 billion from the previous year’s net profit of Rp 11.83 billion.
In the first quarter of 2021, ATIC recorded a net income of Rp 1.34 trillion, down 8.2 percent from the same period last year of Rp 1.46 trillion. Meanwhile, the company still recorded a net loss of Rp 14.03 billion in Q1, a 20 percent decrease from the loss in the same period last year of Rp 17.48 billion.
For information, in March 2021, the position of the main commissioner is still held by Antonius Agus Susanto, while the independent commissioner is held by Betti Setiastuti Alisjahbana.
ATIC is an issuer that focuses on computer consulting services and computer facilities management, information technology and computer services, management consulting, data processing, hosting and related to it.
The company also focuses on information security consulting, computer programming and running web digital portals and platforms for commercial purposes. The direct and ultimate parent entity of the parent entity is PT Artha Investama Jaya which is established and domiciled in Indonesia.
Previously, Ignasius Jonan was also an Independent Commissioner of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) which was re-appointed at the AGMS on May 28, 2021. Since July 24, 2020, Jonan has also been a commissioner at this consumer issuer.
Jonan becomes UNVR’s independent commissioner with Alexander Rusli, Alissa Wahid, Debora Herawati Sadrach, and Fauzi Ichsan.
On January 6, 2021, Jonan resigned from the position of Independent Commissioner of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO).
Previously, Jonan also served as Minister of Communications since October 27, 2014 untilreshuffle by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and was replaced by Budi Karya Sumadi on July 27, 2016. He was then appointed by Jokowi as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources from October 14, 2016 to October 20, 2019.
Jonan was very successful while serving as President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) (Persero) for the period 2009-2014.
