PT MNC Energy Investment Tbk. or The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that it has officially purchased a 99.33% stake in PT Bhakti Coal Resources (BCR) from PT MNC Investama Tbk.
Vice President Director of MNC Energy Investment A. Whisnu Handoyo as the buyer of BCR shares, has signed the sale and purchase agreement. The signing of the share purchase agreement was carried out on February 23, 2022.
“The company purchased 99.33% shares of PT Bhakti Coal Resources from PT MNC Investama Tbk, the payment of which was made by the Company to PT MNC Investama Tbk through the issuance of a Promissory Note,” he said, quoted from the information disclosure on the IDX, Tuesday (1/3/2022). .
It was also stated that the transaction was approved by the Company’s Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on February 10, 2022. The takeover of shares is considered to have a positive impact on the company.
“The takeover of PT Bhakti Coal Resources from PT MNC Investama Tbk can provide benefits and positive impacts for the Company by considering that after the takeover, PT Bhakti Coal Resources provides more benefits for the investment made by the Company,” he explained.
In addition, the company has also officially reported the change in its operating activities from previously operating in the air sector to the mining sector to the IDX.
“The company, which was previously engaged in the business of commercial air transportation and services, has subsequently changed the main business activities of the Company by focusing its activities on the investment sector and holding companies,” the company wrote.
