PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) officially out of the bondage bankrupt in the PKPU process. The Panel of Judges of the Central Jakarta District Court accepted and declared that the Garuda Indonesia debt settlement agreement had been approved by creditors on 17 June 2022.
Homologation verdict reading session Garuda Indonesia itself has been carried out since 10.15 WIB. Several members of the Board of Directors of Garuda Indonesia appeared to be present in full at this meeting wearing white shirts.
“I hereby declare that the debt suspension agreement that was approved on June 17, 2022 between PT Garuda and its creditors is valid and legally binding,” said Chief Justice of the Kadarisman Council, in a hearing held in Soebekti Room I, Central Jakarta District Court, Monday (27/6/ 2022).
“Ask Garuda and its creditors to comply with the contents of the peace agreement,” he said.
For information, in the PKPU voting process last Friday, June 17, 95% of Garuda’s creditors representing 97% of verified debt agreed to Garuda’s peace proposal. The total debt itself recorded by the Garuda PKPU management reached around Rp. 142 trillion.
Previously, the homologation verdict Garuda Indonesia adjourned on Monday 20 June. There are several reasons why the decision was postponed. First, the panel of judges is not yet complete. Second, there are objection letters submitted by two of Garuda’s creditors to the calculation of the list of fixed receivables (DPT). The third reason was that the panel of judges had just received the report regarding the vote on the peace proposal just before the trial began.
