Willix Halim officially appointed as President DirectorBukalapak CEO latest replace Rachmat Kaimuddin which is anchored by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment led by Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
In early 2022, it was Rachmat who resigned, the leadership position was immediately taken over by Willix, but at that time the position was still temporary.
Currently, the Board of Directors, Commissioners and Shareholders at the Extraordinary Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) have approved Willix Halim as CEO of Bukalapak.
Meanwhile, the EGMS was chaired directly by the President Commissioner as well as the Independent Commissioner of Bukalapak, Bambang Brodjonegoro.
“We are optimistic that Willix Halim will be able to continue Rachmat Kaimuddin’s leadership at Bukalapak by continuing to develop the Company into a public company that is financially strong, develops sustainably, and has a significant impact on all Indonesian people,” said Bambang in a press release, Wednesday (16/2/2022).
Meanwhile, Victor Lesmana and Howard Gani were appointed as Director of Bukalapak. According to Bambang Victor and Howard, it can bring Bukalapak to be a leader in the digitalization of MSMEs.
Who is Willix Halim?
Willix Halim first time joining Bukalapak in 2016. At that time, he immediately served as Chief Operating Officer of Bukalapak.
Prior to joining Bukalapak, Willix was Senior Vice President Growth for Freelancer.com, one of Australia’s largest startups.
From his education level, Willix earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mechatronics with First Class Honors in 2009 from the University of Melbourne.
Meanwhile, while serving as the Acting CEO of Bukalapak, Willix will be responsible for the company’s overall operational activities and ensure that Bukalapak continues to realize its mission of creating A Fair Economy For All.
