JAKARTA – The World Health Organization (WHO) has categorized the mysterious hepatitis disease as an Extraordinary Event (KLB).
The number of deaths due to hepatitis virus that attacks children in Indonesia continues to grow.
Seeing this phenomenon, Member of Commission IX DPR RI Saleh Partaonan Daulay encouraged the government to immediately conduct a quick and in-depth study of acute hepatitis.
Not only that, the politician from the National Mandate Party (PAN) also asked the government to intensively socialize and educate the public regarding the anticipation of hepatitis.
“This is important because the hepatitis disease which is currently in the spotlight has been labeled as acute and mysterious,” said Saleh, recently.
Similarly, Member of Commission IX DPR RI Rahmad Handoyo said that the problem of acute hepatitis was a concern and priority for Commission IX DPR.
To that end, Commission IX of the House of Representatives will meet with the Ministry of Health, to discuss the development of acute hepatitis that has emerged in the country.
“Following the direction of the chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharini, Commission IX will immediately schedule a meeting with the Ministry of Health regarding the presence of acute hepatitis,” said the PDI-Perjuangan politician while asking the government to continue to monitor the development of acute hepatitis in the country.
