Deputies of the Legislative Assembly hope to approve this Tuesday in the plenary session, $ 600 million for the Ministry of Education and Health.
The Finance and Special Budget Commission issued a favorable opinion on three loan applications presented by the Ministry of Finance on May 11, in relation to early childhood.
The loans to be approved are the following:
$ 250 million with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) for the project “Growing up healthy together”. This loan is for the purpose of providing support to women of reproductive age, the inclusion of early pregnancies and health for adolescent mothers, which will be paid in 25 years and will be executed by the Ministry of Health.
The second, $ 250 million with IBRD to “Growing and learning together, integral development of early childhood”. This will go to the Ministry of Education in the assurance of standards and curricula, such as the conditions of educational centers.
Third, $ 100 million with the IDB in the project “Improvement of the quality and educational coverage Born, grow and learn”, which is divided into the improvement of the quality and expansion of the offer of initial and preschool education with $ 577.4 million, which includes expansion in the public service, development of pedagogical materials and kits for teachers.
It also has $ 513.5 million in flexible modalities of secondary education, such as supporting young mothers to attend classes.
Finally, $ 51.3 million for the digital transformation of educational management.
