First constituency
After the introduction of proportional representation in 1986, François Mitterrand dissolved the National Assembly in 1988.
It is the return of the classic legislative ballot. In the first constituency, it was the mayor of Dijon, Robert Poujade (RPR), who won in the first round, with 51.95% of the vote. He is ahead of his future successor to the Palace of the Dukes, François Rebsamen (PS), second with 35.2% of the vote. Same scenario five years later, in 1993. Robert Poujade was re-elected in the first round (50.72%). But the gap is even wider with François Rebsamen (17.85%). Four years later, Jacques Chirac dissolved, in turn, the Assembly. And Robert Poujade retains his seat. But he is, this time, pushed in the second round by François Rebsamen, who loses with 46.36% of the vote. The mayor of Dijon who will be beaten again in 2002, again by a right-wing opponent: Bernard Depierre (RPR), 52.74% in the second round.
Renewed in 2007, Bernard Depierre beat this…
