Voters will have to decide between 11 candidates in the 1st constituency of Tarn-et-Garonne, nine in the 2nd
The State services unveiled Monday, May 23, 2022 in the evening the candidates for the first round of legislative elections. They are 20 in total, to run for the vote of the voters in the two constituencies of the Tarn-et-Garonne. Here are their names.
11 candidates in the 1re constituency (Montauban, Caussade, Nègrepelisse, etc.)
In the 1re riding, which covers the east of Tarn-et-Garonne, including the Montauban prefecture, eleven candidates will run for the seat of deputy, exactly as in 2017.
The outgoing Valerie Rabault, is particularly in contention. Now crowned with the investiture of the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes), will the one who chaired the socialist group in the National Assembly during the last term of office re-enter for a third successive term? In 2017, she was elected in the second round with 55.28% of the votes against Pierre Mardegan, candidate of La République en Marche (now “Renaissance”, within the presidential majority “Together”).
Here are the candidates on the 1re district of Tarn-et-Garonne:

Five years ago, the former collaborator of Jean-Michel Baylet, who was Minister of Housing then Trade under François Hollande, was elected in the second round (55.40%) against Roman Lopez (RN), who has since become mayor of Moissac, and support of Éric Zemmour (Reconquest!).
