The Minister of Solidarity and Health qualified for the second round of the legislative elections by finishing at the top of the first round in the 6th constituency of Pas-de-Calais this Sunday, June 12, with a score of 32.10%.
Brigitte Bourguignon is heading for a third consecutive term as MP. By obtaining 32.10% of the votes during the ballot this Sunday, she beat RN candidate Christine Engrand with 30.33% of the vote and candidate Nupes with 15.98%.
In the second round, which will take place on Sunday June 19, the Minister of Solidarity and Health will face the candidate of the National Rally Christine Engrand.
After winning this election in 2012 with the PS and in 2017 with LREM, Brigitte Bourguignon has an obligation to win this election in order to keep her place in her ministry. Indeed, Elisabeth Borne announced a few days ago that all of the 15 minister candidates for the legislative elections would be dismissed from their posts in the event of defeat.
