The Polish champions have already said goodbye to the Champions League competition. In the third qualifying round they turned out to be worse than Dinamo Zagreb (1-1, 0-1).
Now Czesław Michniewicz’s charges are still fighting for the group stage of the Europa League, where their rival in the fourth qualifying round will be Slavia Praga. These duels will take place on August 19 and 26.
Legia was originally supposed to play the fifth round of PKO BP Ekstraklasa on Saturday, August 21, but due to the fact that it would play in Prague two days earlier, it was decided to postpone the game to Sunday, August 22.
Ekstraklasa SA announced that “the final confirmation of all the exact dates of the 5th round will take place next Friday”, so after Raków Częstochowa and Śląsk Wrocław performances in the Conference League, when it will be known how many Polish teams are still in the cups.
Legia, in the event of failure to compete with Slavia, will appear in the group stage of the Conference League.
