Two icons of the Soviet show business Vladimir Vysotsky and Alla Pugacheva met back in 1966 at the Taganka Theater. At that time, the 17-year-old singer had just recorded her first song “Robot”, and the 28-year-old musician was already shining on stage.
“Alla was in love with Taganka, and idolized Vysotsky. I introduced them,” recalled pilot Anatoly Utyliev.
Having met, the stars were immediately imbued with interest in each other.
“She was very open, so sincere, bright, incendiary, cheerful, and Vysotsky could not remain indifferent. And yes, we all fell in love with her. And Alla had incredibly beautiful legs. And all the men looked at her like helpless calves, ”said the poet’s friend Boris Khmelnitsky.
Pugacheva and Vysotsky developed warm friendly relations. They often spent time in common companies and even provoked rumors about the novel, which, however, none of them confirmed.
“Sometimes I sat down at the piano, played. Vladimir Semenovich liked it. There were various interesting people there, including artists, directors, composers, astronauts, and scientists. And I took pictures with everyone. For example, Gagarin on the left, me on the right. Or: Vysotsky on the left, and I on the right. I was not famous then, literally no one, so they cut me off in the photo. Now they regret it!” Pugacheva recalled those days.
However, in the relationship of the stars, everything was not always smooth. Once the Primadonna did not recognize the poet, and he, either jokingly or seriously, scolded her harshly.
“Once I didn’t recognize him in the elevator. He was so overgrown. And he was offended: “I would say hello, pig,” said Pugacheva.
However, be that as it may, the stars still kept in touch – until the death of Vysotsky. Later, Alla Borisovna admitted that she even wanted to call a friend on the day of his death.
“It’s scary to even remember. It was 4 am, I wanted to call him, something was wrong with me, I said that I should call now. But I was dissuaded, dissuaded. In the morning, waking up, I wanted to make a call, but they told me that it was too late, Vysotsky was not there, ”said the singer.
