Legendary Pictures has released the first still from The Toxic Avenger reboot. In the photo you can see – or rather, it is very difficult to see – Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”) in the image of the main character of the tape.
At the same time, it became known that for the first time the tape will be shown at the Fantastic Fest film festival in Texas, which will be held from September 21 to 28.
The original 1984 comedy is about a fitness club janitor who is bullied by others. To escape ridicule, he jumps out of a building window and accidentally falls into a barrel of toxic waste. So the hero named Melvin turns into the Toxic Avenger and begins the fight against crime on the streets of his hometown of Tromaville.
The reboot will be directed and written by Macon Blair. The cast includes Kevin Bacon (Invisible Woman), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), Taylor Page (Ma Rainey: Mother of the Blues) and Jacob Tremblay (Predator, Doctor Sleep).
