Legendary Dutch Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar Hospitalized After Brain Haemorrhage

The legendary Dutchman suffered a brain haemorrhage Goalkeeper Edwin van der Zarn was hospitalized. Edwin Vann suffered a stroke on Friday while on holiday in Croatia. Club Ajax announced that his health condition is satisfactory after being admitted to a hospital in Croatia.

The Dutch goalkeeper who played for Ajax and Manchester United is known as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. The player who was known as Manchester United icon played 266 matches for them. He is also the Netherlands’ second all-time capped player with 130 international caps.

Considered one of the world’s best goalkeepers of all time, van der Sar played for Ajax from 1990-1999 and won the Champions League in 1995. After spells at Juventus and Fulham, he lifted the European Cup again with Manchester United in 2008. Van der Sar returned to Ajax as marketing director in 2012 before being promoted to CEO four years later.
