Legendary Boney M Music Producer Frank Farian Dies at 82

German music producer and founder of the pop group Boney M Frank Farian has died at the age of 82.

The musician’s family reported that Farian died at his home in Miami in the US state of Florida. In 2022, the musician underwent heart surgery and had his heart valve replaced.

Farian achieved worldwide fame with Boney M. The group was founded in 1975. Farian is the co-author of such hits as “Daddy Cool”, “Rasputin”, “Rivers of Babylon” and “Ma Baker”.

In addition, in different decades he was a producer for the pop groups Eruption, Milli Vanilli, Far Corporation and La Bouche.
