Mumbai: Bollywood’s famous lyricist Dev Kohli passed away. He was 80 years old.
In a career spanning six decades, Kohli has composed songs for more than 100 Hindi films. Many of them became superhits. Dev Kohli was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Songs like ‘Yeh Kali Kali Amkhen’, ‘Maye Ni Maye’ and ‘Aate Jaate Hanste Gathe’ are among the hit lists.
Dev started his career as a lyricist in 1969 with the film ‘Gunda’. Dev Kohli also composed songs for hit films like ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, ‘Baasigar’, ‘Judwaa 2’, ‘Muzafir’, ‘Shoot Out at Lokhandwala’ and ‘Taxi Number 911’.
