JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Pertamina (Persero) officially raised the price of Pertamax fuel oil (BBM) to Rp 12,500-Rp 13,000 per liter from the previous Rp 9,000-Rp 9,400 per liter. This increase takes effect April 1, 2022 at 00.00 local time.
Previously, Pertamina announced an increase in Pertamax price in 16 provinces. But not long ago, Pertamina released Pertamax price increase in 34 provinces.
Meanwhile, subsidized fuel such as Pertalite did not experience any price changes or was fixed at a price of Rp 7,650 per liter. The portion of subsidized fuel consumption reached 83 percent, while the portion of Pertamax consumption was 14 percent.
“This is the government’s contribution with Pertamina in providing fuel at affordable prices,” said Acting. Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, SH C&T Pertamina Irto Ginting in his statement, Thursday (31/3/2022).

According to him, Pertamina always considers people’s purchasing power. Therefore he said. Pertamax prices are still more competitive in the market or compared to similar fuel prices from other gas station operators.
“This has only been done in the last 3 years, since 2019,” he added.
Irto said that with the new Pertamax price, Pertamina hopes that people will continue to choose higher quality Non-Subsidized Fuel.
“The new price is still affordable, especially for the wealthy. We also invite people to be more efficient by using fuel as needed,” he said.
The price increases varied in each region or province, ranging from Rp. 3,500 to Rp. 3,600 per liter. As in the DKI Jakarta area, the price of Pertamax is Rp 12,500, up from the previous Rp 9,000 per liter.

– Pertamax from Rp 9,000 per liter to Rp 12,500 per liter in the Provinces of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, DI Yogyakarta, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and East Nusa Tenggara ( NTT).
– Pertamax from Rp 9,200 per liter to Rp 12,750 per liter valid in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Jambi, Bangka Belitung, Lampung, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Maluku, North Maluku, Papua and West Papua.
– Pertamax from Rp 9,400 per liter to Rp 13,000 per liter for the Provinces of Riau, Riau Islands, Bengkulu and Batam Municipality (FTZ).
