Legal Process for AMT Praka Who Blocks Ambulance Carrying Critical Baby

Motorcyclists wearing ‘agency’ uniforms are suspected of getting in the way ambulance who is carrying a critical baby in East Jakarta (Jaktim) that is Praka AMT. He was legally processed by TNI AD because of what he did.

The incident of Praka AMT allegedly blocking the ambulance had actually been mediated. However, the Indonesian Army is still continuing the legal process in force to enforce the commitment of the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Andika Perkasa.

“Strict action against unscrupulous soldiers who commit violations has become the determination and commitment of the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Andika Perkasa in order to build the professionalism of the TNI AD with integrity and obedience to the applicable laws and regulations,” reads a written statement from the Department of Defense. Information on the Indonesian Army on the website tniad.mil.id, as seen Monday (16/8/2021).

AMT Praka allegedly deliberately blocked the ambulance which was carrying patients in the Otista Raya area, East Jakarta, on Friday (13/8). For his actions, the person concerned must be held accountable.

“To account for his actions, Praka AMT starting Saturday (14/8) underwent an examination process in accordance with applicable law,” wrote the statement web TNI AD.

This case began when an ambulance driven by Gholib Nur Ilham nudged a motorbike wearing an ‘agency’ uniform. Disapproved, the motorcyclist in the ‘agency’ uniform then hit the windshield of the ambulance and tried to block the ambulance.

“After that, he took a left. After the box car took a left, it turned out that I didn’t ngeh that motorbike chase we’re on the side, on the side of our ambulance, and just bang on our glass. Spontaneity of surprise, only I can still control my emotions because of me thinking my patient,” said Gholib, Friday (13/8).

Gholib ignored the motorist’s treatment. At that time he focused on delivering his baby patient.

The patient arrived at Budhi Asih Hospital on Thursday (12/8) at around 10.30 WIB. The victim was treated, the baby’s life could not be saved and was declared dead on Friday (13/8).

“We were informed from the family of our midwife who helped treat the patient that our patient, whom we brought to Budhi Asih Hospital yesterday, has passed away to Rahmatullah around Fajr, died in the hospital,” concluded Gholib.
