jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Legal practitioner from the Indonesian Legal Aid and Human Rights Association, Sandi Situngkir, responded to the news surrounding the shooting at the official house of the Head of the Propam Division at the National Police Headquarters, Duren Tiga, which killed Brigadier J.
Sandi assesses the continuous accusations against Putri Ferdy Sambo, the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo (former Head of the Propam Division of the National Police Headquarters) is the most painful and can be said to be very cruel, if the explanation from the National Police Headquarters is true.
According to Sandi, when it comes to law, what is a public issue has not yet become the truth. Because, he said, further investigation is needed.
“If what happened to PFS, the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, is true (a victim of sexual harassment), what is the responsibility of the media and the public who have already judged that the issue of harassment is not true and considers Bharada E’s action as a murder case,” said Sandi in Jakarta, Tuesday. (19/7).
According to Sandi, the mass media were also present and served as a trial by the press to conduct a unilateral trial.
Although there has been confirmation to the National Police Headquarters, the word is silent, but the issue of infidelity is the head line in the mass media coverage.
Sandi said it was interesting with the statements of members of the DPR RI and Komnas Perempuan so that the public would protect PFS and Inspector General Ferdy Sambo from trial by press.
“But this does not happen. Judgment of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo and family continue,” said Sandi.
