It’s about 55 million

According to media reports, Kylian Mbappé has recorded another stage victory in the dispute over outstanding salaries worth millions with his ex-employer Paris Saint-Germain. The appeal committee of the French league association ruled in favor of Mbappé, as the sports newspaper “L’Équipe” and other French media reported. Mbappé is demanding 55 million euros in outstanding salaries and bonuses from his former club.
The league association’s legal commission had previously determined that PSG had wrongly not paid its former striker salary components that were set out in an additional agreement to the employment contract. The million-dollar sum demanded was about the outstanding monthly salaries for April, May and June, the last third of a bonus payment for Mbappé’s previous contract extension and an “ethical bonus” for the last months of the contract.
Oral agreement with PSG for Mbappé void
PSG had relied on an oral agreement, which is why the club believed it did not have to pay the sum. Mbappé, in turn, viewed the Parisians’ verbal agreement as not being fulfilled because his playing time had been drastically reduced following the announcement of the move to Madrid. The 2018 world champion moved to Champions League winners Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer after seven years in the PSG jersey.
However, the decision is not binding. If the parties still cannot find a compromise, the dispute could go to a labor court.
