Legal! Conor Gallagher is now an Atletico Madrid player

Conor Gallagher finally becoming an official player Atletico Madrid. Gallagher has just signed a five-year contract.

“The club has reached an agreement with Chelsea regarding the transfer of England national team midfielder Conor Gallagher who has signed a five-year contract,” the club’s official statement said.

Gallagher has even trained with his players at Atletico’s headquarters in Majadahonda. Gallagher’s arrival will add strength to an Atletico midfield that previously consisted of Rodrigo De Paul, Koke, Marcos Llorente, Axel Witsel and Pablo Barrios.

The English native player came from the Chelsea academy. He was then loaned to several clubs such as Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace.

At Palace, his career went uphill after scoring eight goals and five assists and being Palace’s best player two seasons ago. His debut for Chelsea will be made in August 2022 with a total of 95 games, 10 goals and 10 assists.

Atletico have spent more than 150 million euros to attract Julian Alvarez, Robin Le Normand, Alexander Sorloth and Gallagher this summer.
