Legal! 580 DPR Members for the period 2024-2029 officially installed

Jakarta –

A total of 580 a member of the DPR the election for the period 2024-2029 was officially established today. Mostly filled with old faces, these hundreds of legislators perform legislative, executive and legislative functions budgeting.

The inauguration was held today in plenary session room, parliament center, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (1/10/2024). President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and President-elect Prabowo Subianto as well as cabinet ministers attended the ceremony.

DPR Secretary General Indra Iskandar read the presidential decree regarding the establishment of DPR membership for the period 2024-2029. Then representatives of 580 people took oath/pledges as members of the DPR led by the Chairman of the Supreme Court (MA) Muhammad Syarifuddin.

The following is the oath/pledge of DPR members for the term 2024-2029:

That I fulfill my duties as a member of the People’s Representative Council as well as possible and fairly, in accordance with statutory regulations, guided by Pancasila and the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945 -Of course, to be ‘maintaining democratic life and prioritizing the interests of the country and the state over the interests of individuals, individuals and groups. That I will fight for the wishes of the people and the regions that I represent to realize national goals for the good of the country and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Afterwards, members of the DPR signed the summary of the oath/pledge, which was symbolically made by five members of the Council. Then the DPR memorandum was presented by the DPR leadership for the period 2019-2024 to the interim DPR leadership and the transition minutes were signed.

DPR members by age:

a. The youngest are 3 people (age as at 1 October 2024), namely:
1. Annisa MA Mahesa, Gerindra Party, Banten Constituency II, Age 23 Years 2 Months 15 Days
2. Muhammad Rohid, Gerindra Party, Riau Constituency II, Age 24 Years 10 Months 14 Days
3. Cindy Monica Salsabila Setiawan, NasDem Party, West Sumatra II Constituency, Age 24 Years 10 Months 14 Days.

b. The 3 oldest persons (age as at 1 October 2024), are:
1. Zulfikar Achmad, Democratic Party Jambi Constituency, Age 78 Years 4 Months 15 Days
2. Guntur Sasono, Democratic Party for East Java Constituency VIII, Age 78 Years 2 Months 30 Days
3. Kahar Muzakir, Golkar Party, South Sumatra Constituency I, Age 77 Years 9 Months 21 Days.

The chairman of the PDIP DPP, Said Abdullah, admitted that he heard the names of those who would be the leaders of the DPR RI 2024-2029. It is said that the Chairman of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani, is returning as the Chairman of the DPR.

“A little indeed from Gerindra, Pak Dasco, Golkar, according to my opinion, I heard Adies Kadir, from NasDem I also heard that Saan Mustopa and from PKB, who was the Chairman of Commission VI Adinda Riza,” he said to reporters at the parliament building, Jakarta, Tuesday (1/10).
