The President of the Regional Council of Liguria Gianmarco Medusei announced his decision to leave the League on the eve of the regional elections in Liguria at the end of October. “I will continue to work for the citizens and the territory, my commitment will never fail”, he reiterated.

“After completing my mandate in the party with which I was elected in 2020 – Medusei declares – once this regional legislature has ended, I have decided to end my journey here with Lega Liguria per Salvini premier. Already a few months ago, without making it known in the newspapers, I had left the provincial board of the party in La Spezia due to political differences that have worsened over time”.

“I believe I have always given my contribution in terms of elections and political proposals – he continues -. I have always tried to work with my head down, with humility, at the service of the many citizens who have always supported me with their vote, regardless of my political affiliation, and that is how I want to continue to do it: my commitment and my work for the citizens and for my territory will never fail”. It is the second exit from the League in Liguria in the last two days after that of regional councilor Brunello Brunetto. Among the possible causes, according to rumors, also the management of the Toti case after the arrests for corruption on May 7. And rumors are already circulating about possible landings in Brothers of Italy or at Tajani’s court.
