Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the leftist Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party was behind the shooting, which took place on Tuesday in front of a court in Istanbul.
Yerlikaya said, in a tweet on his official account on the “X” platform:
- Today, there was an attempted terrorist attack on a checkpoint in front of Gate C of Çağlayan Court.
- The attackers “EY” and “PB”, two members of the left-wing Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party, were neutralized.
- In the attack, 6 people were injured, including 3 policemen and 3 citizens.
