Leet | These motherboards already support unannounced Intel processors

Could the CPUs arrive sooner than we thought?

Last November, Intel unveiled its 12th generation processors, which, unlike previous years, differed significantly from the previous series in their production technology and design. In January 2022, the weaker models and motherboards also hit the shelves, including the i5-12400 CPU, which together with a cheaper board can prove to be a real best buy.

You could already guess that Intel could release the 13th generation relatively soon, in the fall of 2022, since we can expect the debut of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processors by that time as well. We still cannot talk about exact dates, but it is telling that ASUS has already released a BIOS update for the Z690 motherboards.

Thanks to this, Asus boards are already prepared to receive Raptor Lake CPUs!

There is a good chance that H610/B660/H670 chipset owners will also receive BIOS updates during the summer, but it is not surprising that ASUS started the process with copies available in the more expensive price segment.
