Leendert talks to Loes at breakfast about a job she couldn’t do the day before due to a missing screw. He has found the right screw and is determined to have her finished. “I now have the feeling of: I haven’t finished my job sheet,” she tells him. “He gives me the feeling that I don’t understand it properly. I can’t act with that, unfortunately.” Leendert finds it difficult to deal with her. “It’s all a bit more difficult with Loes. We quickly have a collision. There are quickly some irritations.”
Leendert and José’s dogs are also starting to irritate Loes more and more. “It’s something about those animals, isn’t it? They are very distracting. It’s annoying. The dogs are always busy in the middle of a conversation. I really want to indicate that I find that quite difficult.”
No, Loes and Leendert are clearly not a match. José actually suits him much better. She loves dogs and doesn’t mind being assigned chores. “That would actually be the ideal partner, but there is absolutely no click,” Leendert notes.
Jose feels the same way. “I actually decided to leave,” she reveals before walking the dogs with Leendert. “We’d be great friends, but not for love.” Now she has to tell him that. “I think it’s very cozy and fun, but I don’t think we have a real click in terms of love,” she tells him. Leendert is happy that she speaks out.
When they return, they share their conclusion with Loes and let them know that José is leaving. But Loes immediately drops a bomb. “Dear Leendert and José, I’ve also been thinking. I’m going to leave too.” She would have liked to have a date with him, but notices that he does not have that need. “It’s done. It’s easy,” Leendert laughs afterwards on camera.
Now that the ladies have left, Leendert is all alone again in his Belgian B&B. He decides to call his daughter. “It is suddenly quiet in the house. It is a sad moment for me,” he candidly tells his daughter. So he asks her to come over. Despite everything, he looks to the future with hope. “There will probably be more ladies. So rooms have to be in order again. Then I think: okay, let’s go again. On to the next round.”
