According to La Repubblica, Leeds has initiated contact with Sampdoria as they seek to bring Mikkel Damsgaard to Elland Road this summer.
The Italian news outlet claims that Marcelo Bielsa’s team has ‘tested the waters’ in an attempt to sign the 20-year-old.

Tottenham, West Ham and Southampton are also credited with an interest in the 1-match Denmark international for La Repubblica.
Sampdoria paid € 6.5 million (£ 5.7 million) to sign Damsgaard from Nordsjælland.
However, La Repubblica says a sum of € 20 million (£ 17.5 million) will be needed to convince the Serie A team to sell the attacker.

If Leeds can beat the aforementioned Premier League trio with the Dane’s signing, then it looks like they will have a good outlook.
You will be forgiven for not knowing much about Damsgaard, as he is a stranger in England.
