Tottenham, West Ham and Southampton are also credited with an interest in the 1-match Denmark international for La Repubblica.

Sampdoria paid € 6.5 million (£ 5.7 million) to sign Damsgaard from Nordsjælland.

However, La Repubblica says a sum of € 20 million (£ 17.5 million) will be needed to convince the Serie A team to sell the attacker.

If Leeds can beat the aforementioned Premier League trio with the Dane’s signing, then it looks like they will have a good outlook.

You will be forgiven for not knowing much about Damsgaard, as he is a stranger in England.

Nevertheless, . it did put him on a list of the most underrated talents in Serie A, which is encouraging.

In his article on the Leeds target,. describes Damsgaard as ‘a good dribbler and an elite shooter’, that doesn’t sound so bad.

Hopefully Bielsa and Orta can fend off Tottenham, West Ham and Southampton to bring the Dane to Yorkshire.

By all accounts, it appears that Damsgaard would thrive on the Argentine’s high-paced, attacking style of soccer.

In other news, Gerrard claims that a Rangers player was brilliant in training yesterday, he hasn’t played in 7 weeks.
