Manager Eric ten Haag held a press conference to announce the news of the squad’s away game against Leeds United over the weekend.
Sancho has not played in a league game in a long time. After a 4-month hiatus, the scorer started, and Marcel Sabitzer also played his first full-time job.
Anthony, Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay were sidelined due to injuries.
Manager Ten Haag said the trio would not be playing on the weekend right away. But there are no additional injuries.
“I don’t expect the trio to come back. We have a few days left to play, but I don’t think we’ll be back.”
“There are no other issues other than that”
Ten Hag predicted that they would not be able to play next week’s match against Barcelona.
“It is the same answer. I can’t say 100 percent, but I don’t expect to come back.”
Casemiro is serving the second of a three-game suspension. Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek are both long-term injured.
“Speaking of injuries, Eriksen is not injured from a tough season. But of course it’s a tough season. There was a World Cup and a lot of players were overloaded because of that.”
“As time goes on, it will work great for a lot of players.”
Acting co-manager Mikael Skubala will hold a press conference on Friday afternoon. Striker Rodrigo can’t play, and Luis Sinistera and Pascal Stuique are uncertain to play.
Mark Roka and Liam Cooper didn’t play last game. Whether or not they can participate is expected to be announced at the press conference.
