Lee Ssang’s former singer Gil side refuted that it was “obvious false facts” after being engulfed in controversy over producer labor exploitation and verbal violence.
On the 19th, Gil’s legal representative, Oracle Law Firm, said in an official position, “The YouTuber’s allegations are obviously false, and spreading and reproducing them as if they were true is a crime.”
Earlier, singer and producer Tank posted a video on his YouTube channel, claiming that he and others had been “slave without a contract” for a year.
Tank said that while writing the Mnet’Show Me the Money 5’contest requested by the road, he was virtually locked up in the practice room and worked without receiving a salary. “If you don’t like the song, his verbal violence and assault will not stop.”
He also claimed that when he was on the verge of being sued by the original author for his song’The Swallowtail’ being similar to singer Kim Heung-guk’s song of the same name, Gil’s manager threatened himself with “Let’s take it all over”.
The video is currently deleted.
In response, Oracle said, “Tank is a group of composers along with Gil, who has worked on music for about a year, and the group of composers is allocated a share of the profits generated from music, which is the result of a partnership rather than an employment relationship.” In such a relationship, the composers have to share the cost, but Tank does not bear any cost and only receives the distribution of the copyright share of the music they worked with.”
“If the claim that the road unilaterally ordered the work and did not pay the corresponding price is true, I would like to ask why the copyright ownership of the’Swallowtail Butterfly’ that we worked with is three times higher than the road.” It was questionable when and how I was able to confine a person in the practice room.”
He added, “It was only natural contact in the process of transferring and acquiring a certain share of the copyright fee of’Swallowtail Butterfly’, and there was no threat or coercion in the process,” he said.
Oracle said, “Gill will actively take civil and criminal legal actions, including criminal charges and claims for damages, for the spread of unfounded false information through this law firm.” Said the doctor.
