Lee Ji Han, K-pop actor and singer, died in the Halloween tragedy in South Korea

MEXICO CITY (ca). – Actor Lee Ji Han, 24, was one of more than 150 killed in South Korea during a human stampede at the Itaewon Halloween festival on October 29.

Ji Han was the contestant on the second season of the television show Produce 101.

The actor’s agency, 935 Entertainment, confirmed the actor’s death via social media.

“It is true that Lee Ji Han passed away as a result of the Itaewon accident on October 29th. We also wish it was not true and we are shocked to hear the news, “the agency told the Xports News portal.

The agency declined to provide more details because it assured that the family “suffers immense pain” after the TV actor’s death.

International media broke the news of Lee Ji Han’s death, due to posts that other Produce 101 competitors have posted on their social networks, such as Park Hee-seok, Kim Do-hyun and Cho Jin-hyung.

The South Korean Foreign Ministry revealed that dozens of victims were foreigners and came from 14 different countries.

There is no official version of what caused the stampede, but it has been said that it all happened on a sloping road from which a group of people fell and caused the accident.

Lee Ji Han debuted in 2019 on the Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day series and was participating in the reality show Produce 101, which was a competition to be part of a K-pop band.

With the release of a black plaque, 935 Entertainment noted:

“I am heartbroken to receive sad news. Actor Lee Ji-han, an esteemed member of the 935 Entertainment and 9 Auto Entertantent family, became a star in the sky and left us.

“I would like to express my sincere condolences to family members who are grieving deeply due to the sudden death of actor Lee Ji Han and to all who love and adore him.”

The stampede

On Saturday, October 29, a Halloween party was held in Itaewon that turned into a tragedy that claimed the lives of around 150 people due to a stampede that was allegedly caused by young transvestites who fled in terror. .

After the tragedy, conspiracy theories also began to circulate where they blame 5G, vaccines against covid-19, among others that speak of everything as an experiment and staged.
