On the 2nd, Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, said: “I fully share” former President Moon Jae-in’s criticism of the prosecution’s investigation into the “shooting of a public official in the West Sea” as “a reckless action”.
Rep. Lee said on his Twitter that day, “The act of bringing security into the realm of political dispute for political gain is an old disease of our politics.”
He also pointed out: “People click their tongues” and “I hope we never face each other again, like the wind of guns, the north wind, color theory and pro-Northern massacre.”
Earlier, former President Moon said in a statement announced through Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Kun-young a day before the arrest of former Blue House National Security Bureau chief Suh Hoon, “The ministry’s ruling, which was reported to the president and announced to the media after the regime change, which has been overturned,” he said.
Furthermore, “at the time, in a situation where it was impossible to clearly identify the facts, the security departments analyzed all the information and circumstances that could be obtained and estimated the facts to the extent possible,” he said.
“The information and circumstances that served as the basis for the judgment did not change at all, but only the opposite conclusions,” he said, criticizing only the fact that the announcement was fabricated.
In this regard, on this day, the chief judge of the Seoul Central District Court, Kim Jeong-min, in charge of the warrants, initiated a review of the warrant against the former chief Seo, who was accused of abuse of authority, obstruction of exercise of rights, creation of false official documents and the same events.
At a ministerial meeting at 1 a.m. on September 23, 2020, a day after Lee Dae-joon, an official at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, was killed by North Korean troops, former Chief Seo believed that Lee had voluntarily defected to North Korea without sufficient reason, and ordered the relevant ministries to delete the contradictory information, be charged, etc.
Seo’s side denies the allegation, saying, “We only maintained security to verify the source and credibility of the information, and we never ordered the deletion of the information.”
