Actor Lee Gye-in recalled the dying.
In MBN’s entertainment show’The Lord of Thumbs’, broadcast on the 9th, Lee Gye-in appeared as a guest with a special feature of’Return the blood vessel age’. In response, panelist Hong Ji-min asked, “Lee Gye-in has a very real male image, so I think he will be really healthy. But is there a special reason for managing blood vessels?”
Lee Gye-in said, “When I was young, I fell out of horses. In addition, I played the role of late Kim in a film about the history of the late Kim Deuk-gu (Director Hyuk-soo Lee). But as I got older, I had a problem with my whole body. The hospital said it was spinal cord depression. I was upset after surgery and I cried.”
It is known that Lee Gye-in suffered a risk of general paralysis due to a sudden fainting in October 2019 due to the aftereffects of a falling horse accident during filming of a drama 30 years ago and frequent injuries during filming. At the time, he underwent a major operation for 8 hours and was diagnosed with a need for lifelong vascular care. He recalled the dizzying past, saying, “When I fell, I couldn’t use my arms and I had numbness in my legs.”
MC Soo-jin, who heard about Lee Gye-in, asked, “What is the relationship between the spinal cord and blood vessels?”
Vascular surgeon Kim Dae-hwan said, “The nerve bundle in the spine is the spinal cord. It is directly connected to the brain and plays a role in transmitting sensations in our whole body to the brain.
It can also be seen as the most important pathway for nerves because it transmits various nerve commands sent from the brain. Blood vessels supply nutrients to the spinal cord. The cause of spinal problems occurs when the spinal cord is depressed and lacks blood vessels in the spinal cord. As such, it is important to manage blood vessels for spinal cord health.”
