Lee Eun-hae (32), who was indicted for the ‘Valley Murder’ case, was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial and also in the appeals trial.

Criminal Division 6-1 of the Seoul High Court today (26th) sentenced to life imprisonment for Mr. Lee, who was arrested and indicted on charges of murder and attempted murder.

The same sentence was maintained for Cho Hyun-soo (31), an internal lover and accomplice who was sentenced to 30 years in prison in the first trial.

The court said that the judgment of the lower court, which acknowledged murder by omission (indirect murder), was valid, but did not acknowledge the direct murder by psychological control that the prosecution argued.

On June 30, 2019, Mr. Lee and Mr. Cho were handed over to trial on charges of drowning and killing her husband Mo Yoon in Yongso Valley, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do.

In February 2019, they fed Yoon food mixed with blowfish blood, and in May of the same year, they were also accused of trying to kill Yoon by drowning him in the water at a fishing pond.
