Skiers, including Ester Ledecká, will not compete in Svatý Mořice today. The World Cup super-giant slalom was canceled due to heavy snowfall and strong gusts of wind. The start was scheduled for 11:30 CET, but after an early morning inspection, the race management had to cancel today’s program.

Another super G is on Sunday’s show according to the original schedule. The FIS ski federation is looking for an alternative date for the canceled race, with a transfer to Monday being considered.
Due to a snowstorm and wind, the super-G women in St. Moritz had to be recalled.

Today’s super-giant slalom was supposed to be the first speed race of the season, the skiers have so far completed two slaloms, one giant slalom and also its parallel variant. Olympic winner Ledecká is the only Czech national team member in the starting list at the Swiss center.
The best placement of the Czech “winter amphibian” was the twentieth place from the giant slalom in Sölden, Austria, for which it won an excellent twentieth place in its – for now – additional discipline.
Last season, however, Ledecká shone even brighter in the downhill, where she took the final second place in the overall standings, with a gap behind the sovereign Swiss Suterová.
