Over the past 35 years, more than 1 million Flemings have voted for De Tijdloze 100, the annual ranking of the best pop and rock songs according to the listeners of De Tijdloze. The editors have now calculated which song has received the greatest number of votes over all these years and can now be called “The Ultimate Timeless Song”. That is not “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac, the number one in 2022, but “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. Here’s what you need to know about it.
