After starting from seventh place, Monačan dealt with Alexander Albon. He went into the pits earlier in an attempt to get ahead of Daniel Ricciard, but the Renault pilot kept his position.
At the end of the race, Leclerc was one of the riders who did not use the safety car to change tires. He restarted fourth, but in the last laps he could not defend himself against Daniil Kvjat on newer tires and finished fifth.

Vettel stayed in the pits
