The AlphaTauri rider had to go to the pits with a damaged right front wheel, for Chou the race ended. He had a safety car on the track.

The sprint restarted in the fifth round. Leclerc retained the first position, but he never gave up on Verstappen in a fundamental way. They fought especially in the lower positions. Sainz and Pérez went up in order. The Mexican finished third, Sainz finished and overtook Norris.

Bottas also gained positions. On the other hand, Mercedes drivers failed to move forward. Only Russell got in front of Vettel a few laps before the end.

In the end, Leclerc had problems with tire degradation. Verstappen got ahead of Leclerc in the 20th round and took back first place.
