In Arizona i Los Angeles Lakers they were supposed to face the Suns at the Footprint Center in Phoenix in the last preseason game before the start of the NBA championship next Tuesday. There the unexpected meeting with the visitor took place.

An Instagram story by LeBron recounted the encounter with the animal: “It tried to sting me while I was in the shower. Luckily I was walking with my head down and I saw him walking. Welcome to Arizona.” It is not clear from the image whether he killed the scorpion or not, but it does not appear to be in great shape. It is certainly not such a rare event: scorpions of that type almost always choose damp and dark places, sometimes hiding in used towels or areas near a watercourse.
