LeBron James is the player who scored the most in the history of the American basketball league, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who had the record since 1984. With a 20-year career in the league, and today being the star of the Los Angeles Lakers , LeBron surpassed the barrier of 38,390 points. A week earlier, as if that weren’t enough, he had become the fourth-best passer when he had his 10,338th assist against the New York Knicks.
The NBA had been watching the Akron, Ohio native for several months. In fact, tournament boss Adam Silver said in January: “We will make the match available worldwide,” referring to when there was a chance for this new record to be realized after 40 years.

At 38 years old, with a height of 2.06 meters and 113 kilograms, James is still fully current in the sport: he is having one of his best seasons, with 30.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7 assists per game.
