LeBron, Durant and Embiid lay the law on Tuesday in the NBA

Stars LeBron James (Lakers), Kevin Durant (Nets) and Cameroonian Joel Embiid (76ers) put the law in the NBA on Tuesday with praiseworthy performances.

LeBron and teammate Anthony Davis joined forces for the Los Angeles Lakers to beat the Houston Rockets 117-100.

The Los Angeles quintet had six players with double-digit scores with LeBron leading with 26 points, eight rebounds and five assists, followed by Davis with 19 points and 10 sacks.

The other Lakers players with double figures were Dennis Schroder, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell, all with 14 points apiece, the latter coming off the bench.

Another who came off the bench to score 11 cards was substitute Kyle Kuzma. The Spanish Marc Gasol contributed five goals, four rebounds and five assists.

The best for the Rockets were Christian Wood, with 18 points, DeMarcus Cousins, with 13 and 10 rebounds off the bench, and star James Harden was diminished with just 16 points.

– Durant to heaven –

In New York, star Kevin Durant overflowed with 34 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds, Bruce Brown made a major contribution by starting absent Kyrie Irving, and the Brooklyn Nets rallied 18 points to beat the Denver Nuggets 122- 116.

Brown scored 16 points, including tying baskets and home stretch lead.

Durant followed up with Brooklyn’s next six points, including a triple that put him up at the time 120-113 with 27 seconds left.

Serbian Nikola Jokic scored 23 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds for the Nuggets, who were trying to sweep on a three-game road trip.

Another who stood out for the New York team was Caris LeVert with 20 points.

The Nets had lost two straight games during the four-game absence of star Kyrie Irving, who was out on personal matters.

The Nets built a 29-4 offense in the fourth quarter that put them up 90-83.

For the Nuggets, Will Barton stood out, with 22 points and Jamal Murray with 20. Argentine Facundo Campazzo did it with six points in 11 minutes.

– Embiid beats Miami –

In Philadelphia, the Cameroonian Embiid followed the MVP pace by scoring a whopping 45 minutes and 16 balls recovered in the rebound fight, for his 76ers to beat the diminished Miami Heat in overtime 137-134.

This was one of the highlights of Embiid in his career in the NBA.

On the other hand, despite having star Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Slovenian Goran Dragic offside for reasons related to covid-19, the Heat sold their defeat dearly.

Tyler Herro helped the Heat overcome Embiid’s dominating effort when his triple tied the game at 115 with 2:25 left.

But it was the Cameroonian Embiid who with a triple and 3.3 seconds sent the game into overtime.

Danny Green equaled the 76ers record with nine triples (27 points) and scored 29 points and Mike Scott added 16 cards.

On the day, the game in Chicago between the local Bulls and the Boston Celtics was postponed for reasons related to the coronavirus.

In other results, Utah Jazz beat Cleveland Cavaliers 117-87 and San Antonio Spurs beat Oklahoma City Thunder 112-102.
