MEXICO CITY (apro).- This Sunday, October 6, LeBron James marked a milestone in the NBA, because during the preseason game in which the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Phoenix Suns he shared the court with his son Bronny. They became the first father-son duo to play together in an official NBA game.
Bronny, who turned 20 that day, jumped onto the court to play next to his father, 39, at the beginning of the second quarter, during the Los Angeles Lakers’ duel against the Phoenix Suns at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert , California.

Bronny, who carries “James Jr.” on his jersey, as well as the number 9, he was selected 55th overall by the Lakers in the 2024 NBA draft in June. He finished the duel with zero points and two rebounds in 13 minutes played.
The Jameses could not prevent the Lakers from falling against the Phoenix Suns of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker in the second game of the preseason. Those from Arizona beat the Angelenos 118-114.
According to CNN, when asked about sharing the court on his son’s birthday, LeBron said that “it means everything.”
“For someone who didn’t have a father growing up, to be able to have that influence on your kids,” LeBron said. “Then, ultimately, being able to work with your child, I think is one of the best things a parent could hope for or wish for.”
