Lebanon Weather Update: Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms, and Snow Expected Tomorrow

NNA – The Estimates Department at the Meteorological Authority expected that the weather tomorrow, Monday, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with no change in temperature, and scattered and intermittent rain will fall during the day, and it is expected that its heaviness will intensify at times starting from noon, and will be accompanied by thunderstorms and active winds with the possibility of rain falling. the cold. Snow also falls at an altitude of 2,200 meters and above, and fog forms on the highlands.
The bulletin stated the following:

– General condition: A depression accompanied by relatively cold air masses is currently positioned in central Turkey, which is gradually approaching and affecting Lebanon as of Sunday night, and its impact will intensify as of tomorrow afternoon, Monday, when heavy rains will fall sometimes with the occurrence of thunderstorms, hailstones, and active winds. With temperatures below seasonal averages and snowfall on the highlands, its effect will continue until Wednesday evening as it moves east and gradually recedes. Note: The average temperature for the month of April in Beirut is between 15 and 24 degrees, in Tripoli between 13 and 23 degrees, and in Zahle between 9 and 22 degrees.

– Expected weather in Lebanon: Today, Sunday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with no significant change in temperatures on the coast, while they will drop in the mountains and inland. Scattered rain falls, especially in the northern regions in the afternoon, and fog forms on the highlands.
Monday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with no change in temperature, and sporadic and intermittent rain will fall during the day, and it is expected that it will become heavy at times, starting at noon, and will be accompanied by thunderstorms and active winds, with the possibility of hailstones falling. Snow also falls at an altitude of 2,200 meters and above, and fog forms on the highlands. Tuesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a limited rise in temperatures. Fog forms on the highlands, and scattered rain falls, sometimes heavy, especially in the afternoon, and is sometimes accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds. Snow also falls at an altitude of 2000 meters and above. Wednesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a drop in temperature and fog in the highlands. Scattered rain falls, sometimes heavy, with lightning, thunder, and active winds during the morning, especially in the south of the country. Snow also falls at an altitude of 2,000 meters and above. The intensity of the rain will gradually decrease starting in the afternoon, with widespread relief occurring during the night.

– Expected temperatures: on the coast from 13 to 22 degrees, above the mountains from 8 to 17 degrees, inland from 8 to 23 degrees.
