The Estimates Department at the Meteorological Department in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expected that the weather tomorrow will be partly cloudy in general, with a rise in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, with the possibility of light rain in the morning, especially in the north of the country, and in the afternoon it will turn partly cloudy with high clouds.
The following was stated in the bulletin:
-General condition: Relatively volatile weather prevails over Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean until this Wednesday evening, where it gradually stabilizes with a rise in temperatures starting tomorrow, Thursday, which will return to their seasonal rates and then exceed them at the end of the week.
Note: Average temperatures for January in Beirut are between 11 and 19 degrees, Tripoli is between 9 and 17 degrees, and in Zahle between 3 and 13 degrees.
The Meteorological Service denies what is being circulated on social media about the occurrence of a severe snowstorm on the 20th and 21st of this month, and calls on citizens to take information from its official sources.
-Expected weather in Lebanon:
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with moderate to high clouds, with a slight rise in temperatures, which becomes within seasonal rates. Drizzle falls sporadically in the afternoon, and some light rain in mountainous areas, with snow falling at an altitude of 1,800 metres, until the evening, when the weather gradually stabilizes.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a rise in temperatures, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, with the possibility of light rain in the morning, especially in the north of the country. In the afternoon, it becomes partly cloudy with high clouds.
Friday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with moderate and high clouds, with temperatures continuing to rise and becoming above their seasonal averages.
Saturday: Generally few clouds with no significant change in temperatures on the coast, while temperatures rise in the mountains and inland.
The temperature on the coast is from 14 to 20 degrees, above the mountains from 6 to 11 degrees, and in the interior from 5 to 15 degrees.
