The Estimates Department at the Meteorological Authority in Lebanon expected that the weather today (Sunday) will be clear to few clouds, with stable temperatures on the coast and a limited rise in the mountains and inland.
The bulletin stated the following:
General situation: Normal summer weather will dominate Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin during the next few days.
Expected weather on Monday: partly cloudy to partly cloudy, with no significant change in temperatures on the coast and inland, while they drop slightly on the mountains, as the humidity level rises and fog forms on the highlands.
As for Tuesday: Partly cloudy, with a limited drop in temperature and moderate humidity, and fog forms at times in the highlands.
Civil Defense
For its part, the General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities announced, in a statement, that “due to the recurring malfunctions occurring on the emergency number 125 in the operations room of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, for reasons beyond our control, citizens are requested to call one of the following two numbers: 70192693.” Or 70192772 if they are unable to dial 125 to request assistance when needed.”
In areas
In addition, a fire broke out in Jabal Qabr al-Zaini in the Bab al-Raml area in Tripoli, and the people of the area issued an appeal to civil defense teams and those concerned to intervene quickly, after the fire touched residential buildings.
Cases of suffocation were recorded among residents of the area, due to heavy smoke emissions.
