The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Guidance announced in a statement that, “On September 13, 2023, a gang composed of Lebanese and Syrians kidnapped the Syrian woman (A.M.) and her daughter (D.A.) in the Bourj Hammoud area. The kidnappers demanded a ransom to release them,” noting that, “As a result, the Intelligence Directorate and an army unit carried out a series of raids on a number of gang members’ homes in the towns of Tal Abyad and Riha in the Baalbek region, in conjunction with a security operation by the Intelligence Directorate.
