As a result of the sensitive security conditions in Lebanon, the Indictment Chamber in the Bekaa agreed to launch four defendants who formed a vicious gang that carried out kidnappings and attempted murders.
In the information received by Debate Lebanon, the gang led by Hadi Al-Hajj kidnapped the financier Badie Al-Hajj at the end of September and tried to kill others the Intelligence Agency sent the arrest them in a quality performance hours after their abduction.
This gang was not satisfied with what they had done, but used its financial and criminal power to release its leader, Hadi Al-Hajj, and three of his members, by putting pressure on the judiciary and his ‘to frighten the family of the abducted person.
A few days ago, the sentencing Chamber in Bekaa agreed to release the gang members less than seven months after their arrest on September 29, 2023, without considering the consequences of this decision on the great efforts made by the security services.

Hadi Al-Hajj admitted in initial inquiries by the Intelligence Agency that he was the one who planned the kidnapping with the aim of demanding a ransom, noting that his relationship with the abductee tight despite how close they were in the family. Hadi Al-Hajj asked for the help of several refugees from Syria and Lebanon to carry out the kidnapping.
It should be noted that the abduction took place from the house of Badie Al-Haj in the town of Kamed Al-Luz in the West Bekaa, where the gang violently attacked the house of Badie Mohieddin Al-Haj, they tore down the outside door and attacked Badie and four of the people inside the house. Then they laid hands on him and kidnapped him.
