The Meteorology Department of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expects the weather to be partly cloudy on Monday with high clouds with no significant changes in daytime temperatures, which are 3 degrees higher than seasonal rates, and winds are sometimes active.

The following bulletin stated:

– The general situation: stable and relatively warm weather dominates the eastern basin on average until tomorrow, Monday, with local and internal fluctuations, and then is affected, starting from Tuesday, by an air depression centered in northern Greece and is accompanied by relatively cold air masses, leading to volatile and rainy weather at times and continuing even after Thursday afternoon, when it gradually recedes. The average temperature for the month of December in Beirut ranges from 13° to 21°C.

– The expected weather in Lebanon: Today: cloudy to partly cloudy with high clouds, with an increase in temperatures exceeding the seasonal rates, as the winds are sometimes activated in the afternoon in the northern regions, changes at night to cloudy with medium clouds, and scattered rains in inland areas on Sunday/Monday night.

Monday: Partly cloudy with high clouds without significant temperature changes during the day, which are 3 degrees higher than their seasonal mean, as the winds are sometimes active, the humidity rises and fog forms on the heights, the clouds settle they condense during the night and the weather is getting ready for sporadic rains, especially in the northern regions.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a gradual and tangible drop in temperatures, which return to seasonal rhythms, with sometimes thick fog on the hills. Scattered and intermittent falls, the intensity of which sometimes increases, especially in the northern part of the country, and is accompanied by lightning, thunder, active winds and disturbances in sea conditions, even starting in the afternoon. Snow falls at an altitude of 2300 meters and above.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with further decrease in temperatures, falling below seasonal values ​​with thick fog in the highlands. Scattered and intermittent rains fall, sometimes intensifying and accompanied by lightning, thunder, hail and active winds. Snow also falls at an altitude of 2200 meters and above.

Forecast temperatures: on the coast from 12 to 25 degrees, in the mountains from 10 to 20 degrees, indoors from 6 to 20 degrees.

Surface winds: Northwest to northeast during the day, volatile and light at night, with speeds between 8 and 25 km/h.

Sweep: overall good.

Relative humidity on the coast: between 50 and 70%.

Sea state: wave to shallow. Water surface temperature: 22 degrees.
