Shia group simply said its leader was suffering from a ‘severe flu’
The health of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has deteriorated and he is in serious condition, according to reports from Lebanon. For his part, the Lebanese terrorist organization provided few details, contenting itself with indicating that its leader had “a serious influence” to justify his absence when he was due to give a New Year’s speech.
But the rumor is swelling in Lebanon and some sources say that Hassan Nasrallah would be transferred to the intensive care unit of the Beirut hospital after a stroke. According to other media he would have had breathing difficulties.
It is not the first time that the 62-year-old leader of the Shiite group has been the subject of rumors about his state of health. In June 2021 he had to dispel persistent noises indicating that he was seriously ill. Appearing on Hezbollah’s Al-Manar channel, he later reassured his supporters that he was fine. “A human being is a human being, sometimes we can be sick or tired,” he said, thanking “all those who prayed” for him.
